Beyond NAS Conference Scheduled for March 10, 2023 in Plymouth, Massachusetts! Join us at Hotel 1620!
After an unplanned hiatus due to the pandemic, To the Moon & Back’s Beyond NAS Conference returns! The one-day event will be held at the Hotel 1620, Plymouth, MA from 7:30am – 4:00pm on Friday, March 10, 2023. Featuring enlightening speakers, educational breakout sessions, CEU options and panel discussions, this conference has benefits for professionals as well as families dealing with raising children born with in-utero substance exposure.
Theresa Harmon, Executive Director & Founder of To the Moon & Back, commented: “We were so encouraged by the success of the initial conference and were hoping to make it an annual event. The pandemic put our plans on pause. We are very excited for the 2023 version, and believe attendance would be beneficial for many professions, including teachers, healthcare providers, mental health providers, nurses, early intervention providers, pediatricians, and family medicine providers. CEU’s (5.5) are available for MSW’s, LMHC’s & RN’s. Certificates of attendance as well. Families & caregivers of children born opiate dependent can absorb a great deal of knowledge by attending also.
“Over the past year we completed our own research on the long-term consequences of in-utero opiate exposure which we have submitted for publication and will be presenting our findings at the conference! Special thanks to our sponsors, Plymouth Community Charitable Foundation & the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office!”
The 2019 version welcomed 350 families and providers to Plymouth where some of the top researchers and providers presented on outcomes, resources, and tangible interventions for children born opiate dependent. This conference is expected to sell out.
Potential childcare option available, for information email theresaharmonlicsw@gmail.com
